Wine

Murray Street Vineyards Greenock Estate Shiraz draws from a hillside vineyard bordering the hamlet of Greenock in the Barossa Valley's north-west.

This mature planting of Shiraz, grown in deep red clay with pockets of ironstone and sandy loam, is very low yielding. The result is grapes with complexity and depth of flavour.

After harvest the fruit is taken to the five-peaked château at the top of the Greenock vineyard. Here the grapes are crushed and fermented with hand plunging and pump overs throughout.

Once pressed to tank and settled, the wine is transferred to new and seasoned French oak. It matures for 18 months before it is blended and prepared for bottling.

Deep dark crimson, Murray Street Vineyards Greenock Estate Shiraz is full bodied with rich dark fruits, long chewy tannins and a savoury grip. Cellaring potential is 25 years.
